The holidays are fast approaching (seriously, how did that happen?! Every year, it feels like time speeds up—and every year, many of us wish we:

  • Felt more prepared.
  • Had more time.
  • Knew how to say NO—to food, events, and even people!
  • Could navigate holiday parties without feeling out of control.
  • Didn’t have to “diet” to undo holiday weight gain.

If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. I help women manage stress, eat healthier, and feel in control of their habits every day. The holidays don’t have to derail your goals—you can enjoy this season while feeling great and staying true to yourself.

7 Tips for Holiday Eating Success

1. Know Your WHY
Be intentional about your health. During busy, stressful times, the more I focus on healthy habits, the better I feel. Reflect on what you want: better energy, restful sleep, and balanced moods? Write down your intentions and revisit them regularly.

2. Set Boundaries
Understand what works for YOU. If too much sugar or carbs leave you feeling off, plan alternatives. It’s about making choices—not restrictions. For example, if one cookie leads to ten, think ahead: what healthier swap will satisfy you?

3. Prioritize Protein
Protein is your holiday ally! It keeps blood sugar stable, supports muscle health, and helps manage weight. Have a protein-packed snack before events to curb cravings.

4. Opt for Whole Foods
Fill your plate with veggies, fruits, cheese, and nuts. These nutrient-rich options satisfy hunger and keep you energized, unlike processed snacks.

5. Bring Your Favorites
Hosting or attending an event? Bring a dish you know you can eat, like deviled eggs or a gluten-free option. Never assume there will be something that meets your needs!

6. Be Mindful of Alcohol
Alcohol can disrupt blood sugar, cortisol, and sleep. Know how it affects YOU. If cutting back feels right, try festive mocktails or sparkling water with a splash of juice.

7. Visualize Your New Year
How do you want to start 2024? Picture yourself feeling great—energized, well-rested, and in control. Start planning now to make that vision a reality!
